Too Long.

It's been over a year since I've written a post. Even a half-hearted picture-only post was too much I guess. I'm so sorry for the lack of information guys! This year I've been blessed with being able to do so many trips thanks to some of my family coming out to visit us in our final time in Germany.

I'm going to try and start from where I left off and post pictures and perhaps type up some blurbs of what you're seeing. Hopefully it will all come together beautifully! (?)

------------------------------------

Last year in October my sister came to visit me. It was awesome, and also the first time she came out!

This is at the airport and she is straight off the plane from HOURS of traveling. Who looks this good after no sleep????

The first place Matt and I took Christina exploring was Rudesheim. I have another post when we took Nikki, but it's such a favorite place that we love coming back!

In Rudesheim they have a gondola up to see the Niederwalddenkmal. The Niederwalddenkmal is a monument to commemorate the foundation of the German Empire.

There she is!

There is a walking path after you see the monument and it's only about 1-2 miles to get to the next gondola. This was on the way :)

The second gondola is open, like a ski-lift and this is Christina and I going down to catch the boat.

The views off the second gondola were AMAZING!

Streets walking to the boat.

View from the boat.

Brother-Sister time!

At the end of our time in Rudesheim we stopped for lunch and Christina has what is called a "Rudesheimer Coffee" and it's a traditional alcoholic beverage using Ansbach brandy, sugar cubes, a flame, coffee and some whippped cream. Yum! (For her- that stuff is nasty to me).

More to come since we travelled quite a bit while she was here. :)
